Hyatts PTO President Letter
Spring is almost here!!!! Where did the Time go?? Time has flown by so quickly …
First of all I wanted to send out a huge THANK YOU to all of our Hyatts families that have already donated to the One Time Donation fund this school year. Your funds have helped us provide another SMART Board for the school, Books for the Library, our Washington DC Scholarship Fund, Caring Fund as well as a few Grade Level teacher requests for supplies/materials for the classrooms. We had 82 families that generously donated a little over $4200 dollars!!!!
We have over 690 families that attend Hyatts. A very small percentage of parents have participated in the One Time Donation program this year. Imagine what we could provide for our school if we could get more families to participate in our One Time Donation program. It is never too late to send in a donation. Any amount is always appreciated! There will be more Grade Level requests that come near the end of the year. Our teachers are already preparing for their classes for the 2012-2013 school year. We would like to be able to provide Hyatts another Smart Board and/or other technology requests that are still pending. For those who haven’t had a chance to donate can find our donation form on our PTO website … www.hyatts.gopto.net. Unfortunately, low participation this year will most likely mean we will need to go back to traditional fundraising next year.
A BIG Thank You for all the parents that have donated their time also in the various PTO events that we have had at the school … Back To School Sale, Curriculum Night help, School Store, Parent/Teacher Conference Night Dinners (in fall and spring), Fall Book fair, and Wellness Expo. We couldn’t do this without your help!
Please don’t forget to go to our website to www.hyatts.gopto.net to see upcoming events, sign up for volunteer opportunities and sign up for our online student directory. Many families still have not signed in yet to include their students’ names for the school directory. It isn’t too late to do this since we will be using this directory for next year also. Also please check out the Partners for PTO link on the website. We have various local businesses that are offering a % back to Hyatts PTO if you utilize their services and let them know that your child attends Hyatts … Kroger Rewards, Math Plus Academy, and Swades restaurant… and there are more to come.

May 9th, 7p-8p Incoming 6th grade (Kroger reward sign ups, logo wear and volunteer sign up)
May 10th Hyatts Staff/Teacher Appreciation Luncheon hosted by PTO
May 23th, 7p-8p PTO meeting in Hyatts Library (voting in of new board and chairpersons)
